In Plane Mode: Slide the PADL underneath the flying plane. It will beep when it is detecting the plane. Press the record button to collect data. You may need to adjust the PADL location. In Car Mode: Point PADL at the passing car. Move PADL so that it reads the passing car. You may need to change the angle of the PADL and the distance from the car. Car speeds of over 7.3m/s are difficult for this system to detect.
When the PADL is reading the passing vehicle, start recording with the green button. Let the data logging continue until the reliability tick appears. Then the test result will appear next to the arrows. Record this data. The reset button can be used at anytime.
The worldwide record book shows the best results. You can submit your results to see if they are good enough to be included.
